The Lilliburlero Trio plays chamber music from the 17th and 18th century, with a special focus on a very transparent and expressive delivery.
Eimear Reidy, cello
Eimear Reidy (Cork, Ireland) studied modern cello at the Cork school of music and modern and baroque cello at Birmingham Conservatoire.
Subsequently, she completed a Masters degree in Early Music at Utrecht Conservatorium with support from the Arts Council of Ireland.
Eimear has performed at early music festivals throughout Europe both as a soloist and a member of various chamber ensembles. She is a member of Collegium XVIII, Silva Rerum Ensemble, The Hibernian Muse and The Lilliburlero Trio. She has performed with many European period instrument ensembles such as Capella Cracoviensis, The Irish Baroque Orchestra, The New Utrecht Philharmonic and Alta Capella.
Eimear is currently based in Cork and as well as her concert commitments she dedicates her time to researching and exploring XVIII century pedagogical resources.
Emmanuelle Weeger, recorders
Emmanuelle Weeger was born in Paris. In 2008, she obtained her degree of Musical Education of recorder at the conservatory of Poitiers, under the teaching of Claire Michon. In June 2011, she graduated in Recorder, from the Early Music Department of the Utrecht Conservatory, under guidance of Heiko Ter Schegget. She is now, and since 2011, studying at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, in master degree in the class of Frédéric de Roos. She followed masterclasses with Sébastien Marq, Kees Boeke, Marion Verbrüggen and Jean Tubéry among others. Emmanuelle is regularly giving concerts in France and the Netherlands, with differents ensembles : Voce Humana, La Fugue d’Autrefois, Fiori di Folia, Decibelle.
She is also very interested in free improvised music and pedagogy, and conducts projects in these two fields as well.
Claude Meneux-Poizat, harpsichord
Having completed a bachelor degree in literature, Claude Meneux-Poizat studied harpsichord in the national conservatory of Rennes where she obtained the final diploma of harpsichord and chamber music. She studied and graduated thereafter with a bachelor degree of harpsichord at Utrecht conservatory in the Netherlands.
She has also completed her solo and continuo training by attending masterclasses with musicians such as Bob Van Asperen, Richard Egarr or Gustav Leonhardt. She performs solo and chamber music with various ensembles throughout Europe and she plays in France and in the Netherlands with the Barokopera Amsterdam since 2010
