Mark Chambers presents ‘Early music & audition techniques for vocal students
Acclaimed countertenor Mark Chambers will conduct a 60-minute workshop with the vocal department of Cork School of Music
Programme
In his capacity as the Musical Director of Sestina Music, Mark will discuss several topics, including their Next Generation Mentoring Programme, career development within the early music scene, the significance of ensemble singing, audition etiquette, and professional choral opportunities. The session will conclude with a brief musical workshop (scores will be provided in advance) focusing on the Italian language and rhetoric within an English context.

Sestina Music will be performing at East Cork Early Music Festival on 14 October 2023 in St. Catherine’s Cultural Centre, Kinsale. There will be student tickets (€5) available on the door on production of a valid student card.
